Lincolnshire Sports Partnership’s main aim is to increase participation in sport and physical activity across the county.
We work with a variety of partners including National Governing Bodies of Sport, local authorities, schools, NHS, sports clubs and participants, to manage and coordinate programmes and events which encourage people to keep active.
As one of 49 County Sports Partnerships across England, we are funded by Sport England delivering national policies at a local level. We aim to:
- Provide for the local needs of our county
- Unlock more support for sport
- Drive the health of the nation
By 2020, we will create a successful county that leads a healthy, sporting lifestyle.
Lincolnshire Sports Partnership is delighted to have launched our brand new ‘Inspiration to Participation’ strategy; a strategy for Sport and Physical Activity in Lincolnshire from 2013 until 2017. This new strategy builds on the success of the Games and continues to deliver the legacy programmes, aiming to increase participation, widen opportunities and support athletes on their player pathway. Our Commitment to Equality
Lincolnshire Sports Partnership is committed to promoting equality, diversity and human rights objectives across all of its structures and programmes, reaching beyond the confines of our legal obligations.
In doing so, we have recently signed up to achieving Sport England’s Equality Standard: A Framework for Sport, in which we are currently working towards Foundation Level Award. We will be seeking to proceed to higher levels in time and in line with Sport England’s framework.
“Sport Equality is about fairness in sport, equality of access, recognising inequalities and taking steps to address them. It is about changing the culture and structure of sport to ensure that it becomes equally accessible to everyone in society, whatever their ethnic origin, age, gender, impairments, social and economic status or level of ability”.
In the interim, we have now proposed a new Task and Finish Group to be developed. The purpose of this Task and Finish Group is to help us to review and further advance our recent performances and progress on equality, diversity and human rights. We are currently enlisting the help of qualified and relevant individuals / communities to help us drive forward and fulfil our vision for ensuring access to sporting and physical activity opportunities is open to all of our local communities.

Our Corporate Club
Part of this will focus on our commercial outlook for 2013, and members of Lincolnshire Sports Partnership’s Corporate Club will play a pivotal role in the Partnership’s development in future years. Businesses and organisations within the county who work closely with Lincolnshire Sports Partnership have pledged their support by making a donation towards sport and physical activity in Lincolnshire. Meet our Corporate Club.
Other members of the community who pledge their support are our Board members; a selective group of individuals whose experience and enthusiasm for sport and activity make them ideal candidates as Directors for Lincolnshire Sports Partnership. We are honoured to work with such talented individuals whose expertise can help in building the Partnership in the future. Meet the Board.
Lincolnshire Sports Partnership wouldn’t exist without the hard work of the 26-strong employees who work hard behind the scenes to manage projects, organise events and encourage people to participate in sport and physical activity. We are very proud of our team, and hope you get a chance to meet us as we’re out and about in Lincolnshire. Meet the Team.
