PE & School Sport Specialists
Nottingham
Full time – 37.5 hours per week (Term time only plus 8 training days)
Part time – various hours available (Term time only plus 8 training days)
Salary: £18,000 per annum full time. Pro rata for part time roles
Duration: August 2013 to July 2015 initially
Following the Government announcement of Sport Premium funding to all Primary Schools an exciting opportunity has arisen in the City of Nottingham for PE and School Sport Specialists. The successful applicants will teach PE and school sport to Key stage 1 and 2 pupils across a number of different schools as part of the City Sport, Outdoor Learning & Adventure Team.
The purpose of the role is to:
Provide Primary Schools with a high quality Physical Education, sport and physical activity programme that will impact on every child in school and provide a sustainable step change in the quality and quantity of participation.
The successful candidates will be dynamic, self-motivated and have excellent interpersonal skills to develop lasting partnerships with pupils, staff and parents. A good knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum and experience of working with Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils would be an advantage.

Coaching Position for Women’s Artistic Gymnastics
Lincoln City Gymnastics Club, Lincoln
Lincoln City Gymnastics Club is looking for a Women’s Artistic Level 2 or above Coach to join their coaching team.
The long established Gymnastics Club in Lincoln has a total of around 90 gymnasts at recreational and competition level and trains at Jubilee Sports Hall, St. Peter andSt. Paul’s School,Western Avenue,Lincoln. Their training times are:
Tuesdays -5.30 pm to 8.30 pm
Wednesdays -5.30 pm to 8.30 pm
Saturdays -10.00 am to 12 noon
The Gym Club trains throughout the year apart from two weeks at Christmas, one week at Easter and a week at the beginning and end of the School summer holidays.
The Club is looking for an additional Level 2 or above Coach to coach between 5 and 8 hours a week.
The right candidate will be offered the following package:
- Expenses of £8 per hour
- BG insurance paid
- CRB fee paid
- Safeguarding & Protecting Children course fees paid
- Course fees paid for next Coaching Level (subject to commitment to remain with the Club for a minimum period).

Coaching Positions for Women’s & Men’s Artistic Gymnastics
Witham Hill Gymnastics Club, Lincoln
We are seeking a motivating, enthusiastic, experienced Level 3 or 4 women’s artistic coach
You will have worked with gymnasts at all levels and have experience of preparing gymnasts for competition. The role will be working with various squad groups including; National & Regional grades. It may involve some work with Development groups and advanced recreational groups.
We are also seeking a motivating, enthusiastic, experienced Level 2 or 3 Men’s coach to lead the development of the boy’s side of the club you will be working with recreational & boy’s squad, and may be asked to work with some girl’s squads. Both roles may also include administration duties.
The club has built up a good reputation since its conception nearly six years ago, we are now looking for the right people to help us on the next step in gaining a purpose built / bigger facility and training towards National competitions.
You will be joining a friendly and committed coaching team who strive to achieve high standards, any other qualification e.g. Pre-school, Freestyle or judging would be advantageous.

Casual Sports Coaches
Lincoln City FC Sport & Education Trust are a local charity organisation who is looking to recruit Casual Sports Coaches to support our delivery.
The trust is currently a registered Charity whose aims are to provide sporting and educational opportunities throughout Lincolnshire. Our work includes disability, PPA, after school clubs, social inclusion, health plus much more.
The role of the casual sports coaches is to support the delivery and will be required to coach where appropriate in order for the trust to satisfy the customers’ needs.
We are looking for well-motivated individuals who can work as part of a team and as an individual plus be required to complete the necessary administration around each session you deliver.

Volunteer County Youth Managers – Lincolnshire Cricket
Volunteer County Youth Managers will take on a number of administerial roles for the age group youth squad they manage.
They will be required to arrange fixtures with other counties and communicate those arrangements to parents. They will organise grounds, umpires, a scorer and teas for each match.
They will be responsible for collecting match fees from players/parents and for all other monetary outgoings and incomings on a matchday.
They will attend all matches and assist the coach in his/her coaching duties on matchdays if qualified to do so.
There may be occasional meetings with the County Board that they are encouraged to attend.

Sport Makers is a programme building on the legacy of the London 2012 Games and the Games Makers which played such a pivotal role in the Games.
Do you want to gain some experience working in the sector? Want to help at events or support a sports club in the county? Perhaps you’d like to be a Sports Coach and want some more experience? Sign up to be a Sport Maker and make sport happen in your local community.
Sport Makers is a voluntary programme and volunteers are encouraged to volunteer for at least 10 hours. Prize Draws for £50 are held monthly to encourage people to record their volunteering hours.
