Adults in Lincoln are being encouraged to take part in a 10-week weight management course to learn how to lose weight and keep it off for good.
Lincolnshire County Council is funding the Drop a Dress Size course as part of GROW, a scheme to improve lifelong learning among individuals aged 19 plus in Lincolnshire.
Sarah Ferneyhough, Physical Activity Manager, at Lincolnshire Sports Partnership, said: “Losing weight is tough, but with the right motivation and lots of helpful tips, Drop a Dress Size is the perfect course to kick start the way to a healthier you this summer. Challenge yourself and your friends to drop a dress size in a fun, supportive environment.”
Over 50 people have already completed the 10-week course in other areas across Lincolnshire, with some ladies losing more than a stone.
Held at The YMCA in Rumbold Street in Lincoln, participants will attend weekly exercise and nutrition sessions. The course costs £25 for the full 10 weeks, but also includes use of the gym at any other time, so you can attend as much as you like. Men are welcome, too!
20 subsidised places are available on a first come first served basis. The 10-week course starts on Monday 21st May from 7-8pm.
