Get Into Golf as Olympic Torch passes by

To celebrate the Olympic Torch Relay through Lincoln, people in Lincoln are being invited to a free Golf Taster Session at Carholme Golf Club.

Part of the national Get into Golf campaign, the session aims to inspire people of all ages and backgrounds to take up the game.

The free taster session is an open invitation to all to get in the swing on Thursday 28^th June from 8.00am to 9.00am.

Qualified PGA coaches and volunteers from the Golf Club will encourage newcomers and those who have played before to have a go at golf.

Visitors will also be given information about coaching and membership offers available at the golf club, along with other projects organised by the Partnership.

Shona Dickson, the County Development Officer, said: “Golf is a game for everyone and a game for life and I can promise a very warm welcome for all. We hope lots of people will have a go and take advantage of our follow-up opportunities.”
