Thanks to funding received from Sportivate, artsNK have been delivering a dance project inspiring young people in North Kesteven and the Lincoln areas.

Solidarity is almost through its eight-week project where professional dance artists have been visiting schools to deliver high-quality dance sessions to young people aged 13-15.

Aimed at increasing this age group’s physical activity level and inspiring them through the Olympics, a dance piece has been created in the sessions. This will be performed at the Terry O’Toole Theatre in North Hykeham on Friday June 29th in front of a live audience of friends, family and professional judges.

Best Choreography, Best Performance and Best Sportsmanship trophies will be awarded to three groups.

In addition, the two most motivated individuals will receive medals for Most Improved Attitude over the course of the eight weeks.
