The "Way Forward for Sport" concludes the second stage of planning to develop a new strategy for sport in Lincolnshire for April 2009- March 2015.
This second stage comprised small planning groups using the information from the ‘Aspirations for Sport’ document, published in September 2008, along with other key documents, such as the current Sport England Strategy, the Sustainable Communities Strategy for Lincolnshire and guidelines and documents from other regional government departments.
The “Way Forward for Sport” is now published for public consultation, and it is hoped that the people who have already contributed to the “Aspirations for Sport in Lincolnshire” and other interested members of our community will review the “Way Forward for Sport” and feedback their views by: January 14th 2009.

We are asking for comments on these values, aims and objectives from members of the general public and key partner agencies by the 14th January 2009.
We want to know whether you feel that they will help to achieve the vision that has been set out, and more importantly that you can see clearly how you will personally be able to help to achieve the objectives set out for the next 3 years and make a difference to life in our county.
We will consider all comments between the 14th and 20th January and the Board of the Lincolnshire Sports Partnership will meet to confirm and debate the key aims and objectives to be included, as we move forward into Stage 3 of this strategic planning process.
Stage 3 of the strategic planning process will be fundamentally focused on trying to ensure that sport in the county moves in one direction, with clubs, coaches, governing bodies of sport, schools, local councils and others are all working together to achieve the overarching vision that:
“by 2021, Lincolnshire will be a county with a sporting lifestyle, which encourages involvement in all forms of sport & physical activity.”
