Community Growing is about growing local produce in local communities across Lincolnshire.

With a range of growing spaces, Community Growing aims to provide communities with access to healthy ingredients which can be grown and distributed through the local area.

Volunteers and community gardeners support local people to grow their own produce, helping people to develop knowledge and skills around growing and preparing healthy food.

Master Gardeners

The role of the Master Gardener is to promote food growing and healthy eating to the wider community e.g. through events, talks, articles, community groups, schools and other innovative ways to bring people together, including through our community growing spaces.

Master Gardeners believe that everyone can grow their own food, whether in a garden or allotment, on their balcony, a window sill or on communal land. Whatever the crop, whatever the space, food growing is important for a healthy diet and lifestyle.

Through the District Councils and Public Health Lincolnshire there is also a range of community cooking initiatives happening across the county, from cook and eat sessions, community demonstrations and roadshow-type activities, all aimed to promote confidence, knowledge and skills around healthy eating and cooking in a fun and exciting way.
